ITALIAN COUNTRY LOAF

Class size is limited to 6 students.

The Italian Country Loaf is a crusty white bread made with a traditional Italian biga pre-ferment that gives it a delicious earthy flavor and chewy texture. We will take you through the recipe step-by-step and teach you how to mix, shape, proof, and bake your own loaf. All ingredients will be provided along with a round proofing basket, and linen proofing cloth you can take your shaped dough home in to bake. All you need is a 5-7 quart cast iron or enamel Dutch oven at the ready and an appreciation for the smell of freshly baked bread in your kitchen.

Registration fee includes:

  • recipe and all ingredients

  • round proofing basket

  • linen proofing cloth

  • instruction based on over 20 years of experience

  • house made refreshments - of course!
